# MintChats Capture

Use `saveToMintChats` to send the complete conversation to the user's MintChats library. If that MCP tool is unavailable, help the user connect MintChats MCP first; do not call the HTTP API directly or invent a saved URL.

## Capture workflow

1. Confirm that the `saveToMintChats` MCP tool is available.
2. Compose `content` from the relevant user and assistant turns, preserving code blocks and enough context to make the conversation useful later.
3. Infer a concise title, source, and at most a few tags from the conversation. Ask only when the user has already named the asset or the choice materially changes visibility.
4. Keep `isPublic` false unless the user clearly asks to publish. After saving, report the exact URL returned by the tool.

## Setup failures

If MintChats MCP is missing, point the user to `/docs` for the one-line Skill install command and the MCP client configuration. If authentication fails, ask the user to create or rotate a key in MintChats settings; never ask them to paste the key into the conversation.

Before installing or auditing this Skill, read [references/source-files.md](references/source-files.md).
